Sri Lakshmi Industrial Coatings Private Limited, a 100% subsidiary of Berger Paints India Limited manufactures Specialty antistatic powder Industrial Coatings in India formulated by leveraging Swiss technology and having manufacturing plants located in India.

Electrostatic powder coating machine is the process of using magnetic fields to apply paint to metals and various plastics. It is based on the principle that “opposites will attract each other”.

How to Get Rid of Static on Records

1: USE AN ANTI-STATIC CARBON FIBRE BRUSH Powder coating

2: CLEAN YOUR RECORD WITH ANTI-STATIC SPRAYS.

3: USE A ZEROSTAT GUN

4: BUY A CORK VINYL MAT

5: REPLACE YOUR INNER SLEEVES WITH AN ANTI-STATIC ALTERNATIVE.

Is powder coating anti static?

Antistatic powder coatings are functional coatings used on surfaces in order to reduce or eliminate build-up of electrostatic charge. The cured surface is conductive in the range of kilovolts; at low voltages (< 1 KV) it acts as an insulator. Nti-static spray coatings typically consist of a conducting polymer (plastic) and a solvent made from deionised water and alcohol. When the solvent evaporates, it leaves behind an invisibly thin conducting “skin” on the surface of the object that prevents static build-up.

What are the three types of powder coating?

There are three main categories of powder coatings:

  • thermosets
  • thermoplastics
  • UV curable.

Powder coatings are used for applying on the following substrates…..

  • Decorative Fencing and Gates
  • Industrial Components
  • Automotive Parts
  • Metal Signs, Posts, and Brackets
  • Stair Rails
  • Office Furniture
  • Playground Equipment
  • Boats and Marine Parts
  • Tool Boxes
  • Motorcycles
  •   Light Posts

Colored powders are applied to parts, using an electrostatic process that draws the powder to cling to the part being coated. The parts are then baked and the powder molecules fuse into a hard protective coating. We filter and recover all excess powder not used in the coating process.
